Hey there! I’m Jodie Bentley, an NYU Tisch trained actor and producer who has worked for Netflix, Hulu, ABC, CBS and many more. I'm also the former CEO of The Savvy Actor and Accelerated Artist. Just Tell Me Who You Want Me To Be
EVERYONE wants to tell you who you are and who you should be.
Then you start putting all this armor on you, to be a certain thing.
Guess what? It doesn't last. Branding is not about putting something on. If you approach your brand with only how others perceive you in this business, you will get bitter, jaded and burnt out.

I Don't Care What You Say, This Is Me
You can't force people to see what you want them to see. On top of that, you can't get mad at them when they don't see it! You learn the craft of acting to stretch yourself, and rightly so. To think that translates into the real world as "versatility" is false. I’m not saying you can’t play diverse roles. You can do kooky comedy in one project and then depressing drama in the next, but saying your brand is versatile doesn't say anything. It keeps you vague and makes others work way too hard to REALLY see you. The result? You will also get bitter, jaded, and burnt out.
